Connect with what is going on with Jack at this point. Think about the cafeteria, how people are treating him, lists or friends, and his relationship with August.
The cafeteria part was very mean. People would sit by him at first but when their table was called they would move. Finally August and Summer invited him to sit by them. Now him and August are best buds and are at camp and having the time of there lives. There was a list that had people on Jack's side, neutral, and Julian's side people. There was only about 4 people on Jack's side and the rest are practically of Julian's side.
Jack is really a good guy. He didn't mean those things about August, people were picking on him and he just wanted to fit in. After he punch Julian for being mean, Julian started being very mean. He turned everyone in the grade against Jack. After that happened Jack was just glad that he had Summer, Maya, and August. Now people are kinda getting sick of the war, and Jack is starting to be liked again.

Jack was trying to be like everyone of his other friends and make fun of August but he didn't actually mean it. Everyone started to make fun of him and be mean to him. However, August and Summer still let him sit by them and being there for him. Now in the book nobody really cars about Jack and Julian and Jack is starting to be liked and not bullied. During the fight between Jack and Julian there are only a couple of people on Jacks side and a lot of people on Julian's side.
Julian has been a absolute jerk to Jack by telling every body to stay away from him but after a while people are getting sick of it and are switching to jack side.Julian also left letters in Jacks locker saying nobody likes you and stuff like that.
People are starting to figure out that Julian made up a rumor about Jack, but Jack doesn't want to sit with Auggie at lunch but nobody will sit with Jack because of what Julian did. Everyone is on Julian side but they are starting to move to Jack's. Auggie and Jack became friends again but Julian is trying to pull them away. Julian does things to Jack after Jack punching him.
