The book Wonder by R.J. Palacio is about a boy named August who is in 5th grade. August was born with a deformed face. He had 27 surgeries. He is home schooled because of all the surgeries his parents find that it would be easier for him to heal faster. However, he won't be home schooled for long! His parents are going to send him to a school called Beecher Prep. August doesn't wan't to go though! After a while of talking he decides to go. At this new school he faces some troubles. Like a boy named Julian, Julian is mean to him and is rude. Although August faces challenges he still finds friends.
So far in Wonder, I read about August and how he went on a tour of his school after his parents waited a year to tell him about it. While his mother and Mr. Tushman were talking about school, August, Jack Will, Charlotte, and Julian were on a tour of the school so August would not get lost on his first day. Before he went to school in 5th grade, he was home schooled by his mother. Now he is in school and in in lunch. People were not supposed to save seats but they did anyways so that August could not sit next to them.

The first day of school he is going through some mean demon people who will pick on the first person they see with something wrong with them. Like Julian, he is mean to him and just plain out rude. He makes fun of him without anybody even knowing like with the Star Wars thing. Auggie is going through problems but people are still there for him like Summer, Jack Will, the teachers, and Charlotte. He is there and is going to be there for a long time.

Well in the part 2 Via talks so good about August for most of the time. She almost always says good things about him. But at the end she kind of gets jealous of all of the attention he gets from their parents. She says "I guess shes August's mother right now not mine." or something like that.
In part two Via mostly talks about August and how she tolerates what goes on with him and how her friends are use to August.She also talks about her grandma who died and how her and her mom had a sad day while August went to school and then their mom went to go get august and via said "Now she August's mom".
In part two of the book Via, its from Via point of view. She doesn't always like how she is the last to get attention in their home. She sometimes wishes August could be normal. She often talks about how much of a chance she could have a child with a face like August's. You can tell she doesn't like how her mom is more of August mom.
Right now August is at a fifth grade camp and watching an outside movie. He is in the front row with Jack. Julian did not come to the camp because it is quote unquote dorky. Good thing for August because he wont have to deal with him. So now August and Jack can actually have a good time at camp.
Currently they just got done with Vias play and then all of a sudden he couldn't see his mom then Miranda came up behind him and picked him up.Also sadly their dog Daisy died and that was hard.
Their dog Daisy died. It was sad and tragic but then when August comes home from a camp, were he got in a fight and lost his hearing aids, his dad had a great surprise. A new puppy. he was named Bear because he was as cute as a bear cub.
The next section of reading was about how Daisy died. The Auggie goes to his first sleepover camp in the woods, where he gets in a fight and loses his hearing aids. When he came home his dad and Via had a great surprise for him.... a brand new puppy. They called him Bear because his mom thought he looked like a bear. The in the end of the book he gets a award and gets a standing ovation. His mom then says he is a wonder.
Their has been a lot of stuff like their new dog named bear and what happens at camp with Eddie but we will start with Eddie and camp.So at August school they where to a camp for three days two nights so they went to camp and on the first day August had a really good day but on the next night their class went to a out door theater with a lot of other schools.So they where watching the movie and jack says he has to go to the bathroom so Jack and August went to the bath room and the line was to long so they went to go in the woods and that is when they met Eddie.Eddie who is a seventh grader and his gang of seventh grader witch is three other boys and two girls so Eddie and jack start jarring each other then Amos, miles, and Henry cam over and tackled Eddie so they started this brawl eventually Amos and August run off while the rest catch up.But when August got back from camp his dad brought home a suprise and it was a little black dog and it looked like a bear cub so they named him bear.
